General Conditions
Canvas Products of Jacksonville (dba Sunesta
Products) warrants to the original purchaser
only, its products to be free from defects
in material and workmanship under normal
and proper use for a period of either 3
or 5 years , beginning from the date that
the Warranty Registration is received by
Sunesta Products. Sunesta Products' only
obligation shall be to replace or repair,
at its option, those parts that are deemed
to be defective. Canvas Products of Jacksonville
is not responsible for additional warranties
extended by any Sunesta dealers or suppliers.
In addition:
The awning system must be properly installed,
utilized and maintained. The warranty does
not apply to any deterioration due to abusive
use, harsh cleaning solutions, malfunction,
negligence, accidents, vandalism, high winds,
extreme rain, fire, or any other acts of
God.
Normal wear, weather soiling or stains
from environmental pollution or other sources
are not covered.
There are no warranties that extend beyond
the description of this warranty, and all
implied warranties and fitness for a particular
purpose are specifically excluded.
Canvas Products of Jacksonville shall not
be held liable for any incidental or consequential
damages. Please be aware that some states
do not allow this limitation or exclusion
and that you may have other rights beyond
the specific legal rights of this warranty.
5 Year Frame and Lifetime Arm Shoulder
Warranty
The Sunesta, Sunlight, and Sunflair retractable
patio awning frames are guaranteed for 5
years against becoming unserviceable because
of defects in material or workmanship. The
arm shoulders on each of these retractable
patio awnings are guaranteed for the life
of the unit.
3 Year Frame Warranty
Sunbrero and Sundrop frames are guaranteed
for 3 years against becoming unserviceable
because of defects in materials or workmanship.
5 Year Fabric Warranty
The awning fabric on all Sunesta models
is guaranteed for 5 years against becoming
unserviceable because of loss of color or
strength from normal exposure conditions,
including sunlight, rot, and mildews.
Normal wear, weather soiling or stains from
environmental pollution or other sources
are not covered.
Dimensional stability is guaranteed to remain
at plus or minus one percent or less in
"no tension" or "constant
tension" applications under proper
installation and careful use.
The awning fabric's color fastness is guaranteed
to remain within standards set by the Fadcometer
Test. Color solidity corresponds to a Grade
7 on the scale of 8 in the test, under normal
conditions of exposure and atmospheric chemical
pollution.
5 Year Motor Warranty
Canvas Products of Jacksonville warrants
all of its motors to be free from defects
in material and workmanship under normal
and proper use for a period of 5 years starting
from the date that a completed Warranty
Registration is received by Canvas Products
of Jacksonville. Motor controls, switches
and electronic accessories are warranted
by Sunesta for 1 year after the date of
the receipt of the completed Warranty Registration.
How to Schedule
Service
If you wish to apply warranty coverage
to a defective part, please contact the
local Sunesta dealer who you purchased the
awning from to inspect the installed awning.
Any suspected defective part will then need
to be returned to Canvas Products of Jacksonville,
shipped prepaid, after receipt of a return
authorization number from Canvas Products
of Jacksonville. After the authorized return
is received, Canvas Products of Jacksonville
will inspect the claimed part to determine
the validity of the claim. Your Sunesta
dealer will then be notified of the warranty
claim's status. Labor costs for removal
and reinstallation of the awning and/or
parts shall be the sole responsibility of
the purchaser.
